FAQ

Is my Word document uploaded anywhere?
No. The .docx file is read and converted by JavaScript in your browser tab. It is never sent to a server.

Can I convert old .doc files?
Only .docx is supported. Open the .doc file in Word, Pages or LibreOffice and save it as .docx first.

What happens to images in the document?
By default images are left out to keep the Markdown readable. Enable Keep images to embed them as base64 data URLs inside the .md file.

Why does my heading come out as bold text?
Headings are detected from Word’s built-in Heading 1–6 styles. Text that was only made big or bold manually is converted as a regular or bold paragraph.
